Here is the interview. Enjoy. MUSIC RELATED: 1. What is your favorite/least favorite thing about playing out-of-town gigs? Claude: I love going everywhere. Planes and airports suck, but I am strangely attracted to them now. They feel like home, too. Very strange. 2. You mention praying in a few of your songs...What is your religious preference? Claude: I believe that there is something out there, or in here, or everywhere. I just don't have an organized way of looking at it. But I have a great relationship with this woman. 3. Where do you get your inspiration? Claude: Where don't I? :) 4. How does it feel to know that your music has touched so many lives? Claude: When I think about it, my head feels funny, like I took a drink or something. 5. Did you take music lessons, or is it just pure talent? Claude: Pure? Not sure about the pure thing. It is something. No lessons. I can't read music. I can write it all out in my head. 6. What is one bit of advice you would give to someone wanting to get into the music biz? Claude: Do it because you love it. It doesn't love you. So be yourself. 7. What headline would you like to see about yourself? Claude: "Anything Box wins a grammy, but Claude gives it to his mom because she cares about it more than he does." Or... "Abox Sells 10 Million Albums." I like the second one for some reason. Yeah. Second one please. 8. What is YOUR favorite Anything Box song? Claude: The one that isn't written yet. 9. If you could choose a TV show/movie that would play your music, which one would you pick & why? Claude: A movie picked us, which is "Mo". But I would like to have had a song in "The Truman Show", "Stranger Than Fiction", or "Donnie Darko". I love those types of films. 10. You have a few songs with girls names, are any of them real people? Claude: I am a gentleman. Most of the time. Well... Shhh. 11. At one time you talked about writing a book, are you still going to do it? Claude: Not sure. I want to, but timing is not about that right now. (I deleted the longer answer Claude gave because he said that it is a secret for now) 12. What was the craziest thing a fan did to get you to notice them? Claude: Choke me. Seriously, he almost killed me. RANDOM QUESTIONS: 1. If you couldn't do what you are doing now, what would you do instead? Claude: Paint. Write. Make films. Have advntures. 2. What are you afraid of? Claude: Futile existence. California falling in the ocean in 2012. George Bush. 3. If you could be any planet in the universe, which one would you be & why? Claude: Venus. You think you know it but... 4. Do you have any regrets? Claude: Some. They will stay hidden. Tiny ones. 5. If you could have one super power, what would it be & why? Claude: I already have it. But then if I told you I would be very vunerable. So I can't tell you. 6. If you could live your life over again, would you do anything different? Why? Claude: Get more serious earlier on. 7. If you could start your own town, who would you want living there? Claude: Abox fans. And normal people. No mean ones allowed. Unless they promised not to be mean. That would be ok. If they got mean again though. They... Die. 8. I can't even commit to the same hair color for more than a year, how did you know that your significant other was "the one"? Claude: By not looking. I let it happen. 9. Do you ever feel alone? Claude: Yes. Who doesn't? 10. What is the best gift anyone has ever given you? Claude: Their friendship. I think it is one of my favorites, for sure. 11. What were you like as a teenager? Claude: Nerdish. Rockish. Punkish. Gothish. Metalish. Ish. Ish. 12. Do you find YouTube addicting? Claude: OMG. YESSSS!!!!! YESSSS!!!!! Sorry. I love it. 13. Do you believe that animals have souls? Claude: Yes. Even so, I'm afraid I eat them. But I do it out of love, so their souls get to tour, write songs and paint. And YouTube. 14. Have you ever lost someone that you loved? Claude: Yes. 15. If you knew the world was going to end & you only had one day left, who yould you spend it with? And what would you do? Claude: Party. No room left for contemplation. Drink, have fun, do what you want. It's the end. But then you evolve. Different type of party I guess.
